Sarah Herron Remembers Loss Of Son Oliver One Year Later
Bachelor alum Sarah Herron and Dylan Brown are remembering their son one year after he was born prematurely and passed away. As they continue to mourn and honor their son, Sarah is currently pregnant with twin baby girls. What is Sarah sharing on this very difficult day? Keep reading to find out more.
Sarah Herron remembers son Oliver one year after death
Sarah Herron and husband Dylan Brown are remembering their son Oliver one year after he was born too early and passed away. She knew this day was coming and had dreaded it. Now, she went to Instagram to share her feelings on this sorrowful anniversary.
Sarah shared multiple photos beginning with that sad day and continuing throughout their first year without Oliver. She began by saying, “Sweet boy. I’ve sat down to write this post over a dozen times this month but the words have not come to me. Every time I try to go back to that day, I’m nudged by a little wet nose, pulling me to go for a walk—and I am saved by the bell.”
Of course, she is talking about her beloved dog Rio who has been by her side through it all.
Sarah continued saying,
It’s been 1 year since you came into this world and quickly left us. There’s no escaping that reminder. It’s been 1 year of soul-awakening grief and rebirth. It’s been the longest and fastest year of my life; unbearable and becoming. I’ve hardened and softened and never felt so alone while also feeling wrapped up in so much love. My friend list has cut in half, but my community has quadrupled. It’s a strange paradox that you cannot understand until you’ve lived it.
She also said that while he is not there with them he is everywhere. She said, “You are not a little boy turning one today, you are the sun on a January day, the songs that remind me of you, and amazingly now, you are the sea turtles that everyone sees.”

Sarah looks sadly back at that day
Sarah Herron continued on her long past saying that it was a gray gloomy day when Oliver left them and she didn’t think she’d ever see vibrant skies again. Now, she wakes up to a sunny day and bluebirds and believes it is all because of him.
Sarah sent her love to moms going through grief of their own and said she promised it would get easier. While she is excited about her son’s twin sisters growing inside her, she knows they will never be him.
However, she vows to keep his name alive in their home and tell his sisters all about him. Sarah voiced that they will love and miss him forever. She wished him a happy heavenly birthday before closing her letter.
