Randy Jackson Fans Worried, Say His New Look ‘Creepy As Hell’, Pics
Randy Jackson looks drastically different in 2024 than he did when American Idol first premiered in 2002. Longtime fans remember him as heavier set back then. However, with how he looks now, many of his fans are concerned. So, what’s the scoop?
Randy Jackson Was Always A Bigger Guy
Even though Randy Jackson has been in the entertainment industry for decades, he was introduced to a whole new generation of fans when he was on the judging panel of the first incarnation of American Idol all the way back in 2002 with co-judges Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell.
Back then, Randy Jackson was known for being heavier. At that time, the judge and musician weighed around 350 pounds. In addition, when you consider how many hours they spent filming while sitting in the judges’ chair, it was no surprise that this was going to start impacting Randy Jackson’s health in a negative way.
Former American Idol Judge Turned Things Around
Randy Jackson was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2002. As he was pushing 350 pounds at that time, Jackson knew he would have to change his habits and kick things into gear in a major way if he wanted to stick around for the long haul.
In 2003, Randy Jackson went under the knife for gastric bypass surgery. This was to help him on his weight-loss journey. Luckily for him, he was able to stick to his new diet restrictions and maintain healthy habits. This resulted in him losing more than 100 pounds. Best of all, he has been able to maintain that lifestyle since his American Idol days.
Fans Worry For Randy Jackson In 2024
Despite everything Randy Jackson accomplished in terms of getting his weight under control and living a healthier lifestyle, fans recently expressed concern across the board with how he is looking now. Of course, Jackson is 67 now. Even so, the way fans see it, he is looking a little worse for wear, and many think it has nothing to do with his age.
Randy Jackson leads the band and plays the piano on popular FOX game show Name That Tune. Players compete head-to-head to name songs performed by a live band.
Recently, though, it was more than just song titles that had Name That Tune viewers scratching their heads. With Jackson sitting behind the piano on Name That Tune, many viewers question his mobility issues. Because, even when he appeared as a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark, rather than walking out from backstage, as guests typically do, Jackson was already seated before the interview segment started.
Between the rumored mobility issues and the way Jackson looks now, many fans flooded social media with comments.
- One commenter wrote: “Randy looks like a Grimlin”.
- Another added: “Tell me Randy isn’t a robot.. a Ai”.
- A third said: “Randy is looking like he’s sick”.
- One more went on to add: “He looks like a damn marionette. Creepy as hell”.
Whatever is going on with Randy Jackson, fans certainly have concerns. Even though some comments may be a bit harsh, the vast majority do hope he is okay, and that he isn’t dealing with anything serious.
