‘NCIS’ Season 21 Premiere Shocker: Nick Torres’ Murder Arrest!
The NCIS Season 21 premiere promises to be explosive. Because this is a strike-shortened season, the CBS military procedural will be putting the pedal to the metal all season long. That kicks off with the first episode entitled “Algún Día.”
How serious will it get for the mercurial agent? Here are the latest details.
Nick Torres Gets Handcuffed In NCIS Season 21 Premiere
In the NCIS Season 21 premiere episode, entitled “Algún Día,” things get serious for Nick Torres. According to the CBS sneak peek video, two FBI agents take Wilmer Valderrama’s character Nick Torres away in handcuffs.
Alden Parker (Gary Cole), is not having any of this. He tells the agents, “You want to tell me what you’re doing?” As Nick stoically is taken away, Alden promises “Hey, Nick, whatever this is, we’re going to get it straightened out, OK?”
The FBI agent is not so sure that will ever happen. “First Gibbs, now this one. You always stick up for the wrong people, Alden.”
McGee (Sean Murray) chimes in, “Is this for real?” Alden confirms. Then states that Nick Torres is being charged with murder.
NCIS Season 20 Finale Showed Nick Torres About To Kill Father Figure
While Alden and McGee may seem confused by the murder charges, NCIS fans who saw the final episode of Season 20 knew something bad was going to happen.
Nick Torres had gone undercover in prison for a case. Coincidentally, Nick ran into the man (Al Sapienza) who had tormented his family when he was young. Seeing this man triggered all sorts of emotions in the agent. He then called his sister. However, that is not all that he did.
At the very end of the episode, Nick was waiting at the man’s house when he entered. Then, a very sinister-looking Nick told the man that he finally got his wish, “to watch you die.”
How Well Does The Team Know Nick Torres?
NCIS longtime screenwriter David J. North spoke to TV Insider on Thursday. He hinted that something so bad happens that Torres may have to relinquish his badge.
“Torres does something to the mystery man, Maurice Riva, that threatens to end his career as an NCIS agent. The team rallies around Torres, but it may be too late to save his badge – and his freedom. The evidence is so overwhelming against Nick that the team is left to wonder [how well they know him].”
The premiere of NCIS Season 21 is on Monday, February 12, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on CBS.
