Golden Wedding A Family Affair
Trista Sutter helped ABC launch The Bachelorette spinoff in 2003. So it’s a no-brainer that she would be a guest of honor at Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s wedding. Trista even made an appearance on the first season of The Golden Bachelor for a rousing game of pickleball with Gerry and his dates.
However, what surprised and delighted fans was seeing Trista and Ryan Sutter’s beautiful family at the Golden Wedding. The couple’s two children – Maxwell, 15, and Blakesley, 14 – attended the event as well.

Bachelorette Star Trista Sutter Welcomes New Family Member
2023 wasn’t the best year for the Sutter family. Ryan continued to battle Lyme disease after years of being misidiagnosed.
The family also lost one of their most beloved family members in October when their dog Sophie unexpectedly passed away during surgery. Bachelor Nation fans sent their support, especially to a heartbroken Ryan Sutter.
However, the family began the new year by adding a new furry friend to their family. Trista Sutter took to her Instagram Story to share all about their latest addition.
The new pup named Kota is a rescue. The Bachelorette star tagged the Lightshine Canine rescue. According to their website, Lightshine rescues dogs from reservations in South Dakota.
She also shared that Sophie was also adopted through that rescue. Trista further revealed that Kota came from the Rosebud reservation, which she called “fitting.”
The former reality star shared several snapshots of her new four-legged friend.
Ryan Sutter & His New Buddy
As much as Trista is enjoying the new family member, someone else in the family is determined to bond with it. She shared a video clip of her husband on all fours, playing with the energetic pup. See the adorable video below.
