Kent, 25, is the second deaf contestant in the franchise’s history. Much like Season 25 contestant Abigail Heringer, Daisy Kent has a cochlear implant.

Joey Graziadei Talks Filming Golden Bachelor Appearance
Fittingly, Joey Graziadei was announced as the next Bachelor during Charity Lawson’s After the Final Rose special in August. He came in second place on her season of The Bachelorette.
Graziadei made a visit to The Golden Bachelor group date involving pickleball. The pro tennis instructer met Gerry Turner for the first time and shared a secret with him. At the time of filming the appearance, Joey Graziadei had yet to be publicly announced as The Bachelor lead.
He told The Wrap that Gerry was the only one who knew. “He was the only one that was able to know that I was in the ‘Bachelor’ role at that time — none of the women knew anything yet,” Graziadei told the outlet.
The Bachelor lead added that it was “exciting to talk to him about him being halfway through the season, how things have been going for him and make that early connection.”

Unlike Joey Graziadei, Gerry Turner didn’t have any experience in the Bachelor Nation franchise. According to Graziadei, that made Turner “grateful” for the experience.
This helped Joey Graziadei be less critical of himself. He explained, “His joy and his excitement was hard not to notice, and I really tried to remind myself of that whenever I could.”
Graziadei told the outlet that he soaked up any “wisdom” Gerry Turner offered him.

However, that wasn’t his only source of advice. He revealed that he reached out to both Ben Higgins and Bachelorette contestant Jason Tartick.
“It’s nice to have people that can support you,” Joey Graziadei said about the Bachelor Nation alums.
