1000-Lb Sisters fans can’t believe that TLC star Tammy Slaton turned out to have incredible maternal skills. Actually, there are many things they never thought they would see from Amy Slaton Halterman’s sister. In fact, it seems like a miracle that she’s even alive.

In the TLC show in Season 5, fans see such a different person that they almost can’t believe their eyes. Even so, the filming took place some time ago, and she lost even more weight since then. Incredibly, it seems that as the excess weight left her, she emerged with a much sunnier nature. Some fans believe she always had it inside of her. However, it’s possible that her achievements gave her happiness she’d never known before.
Tammy Slaton and her sister Amy always seemed to clash on the show. However, in Season 5, it seems that Amy needs badgering to look after her health. For a change, it’s Tammy who gives good advice to her sister. In the past, Amy Slaton Halterman badgered her sister to eat properly. Apart from that, TLC fans also noticed a nurturing side with Tammy, especially with Amy’s children.

- Absolutely, sometimes I think she’s better with them than their own mother. Amy acts like she’s so overwhelmed, crying all the time, and although she looks happy in the newer photos, I can’t get over her smoking with one of them on her lap.
- I was so heartened by how Tammy stepped up! She feeds that baby, she supports her sister, she talks Amy down from trees. “You’re not doing this alone, bitch where am I? Right next to you.” And “I’ll be the baby daddy.” Tammy had these things inside her but she was so wrapped up in her anger and defensiveness. She’s doing SO MUCH BETTER now that she’s had therapy and gotten away from her family to find perspective. It was so nice to see.
- Agreed! Tammy has come a long way in her transformation. Hope she keeps it up. You can tell how she’s grown up so much. And yes, she loves those little boys tremendously!
