How Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Really Felt About Brayden’s Proposal
It’s been a big topic about whether it was tacky or not of Brayden Bowers to propose to Christina Mandrell on Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s wedding night. Many think it was stealing their thunder while most believe it was incredibly romantic and sweet. What do Gerry and Theresa really think about that amazing moment? What did Gerry Turner really think about Brayden’s proposal?
Fans were not prepared for two big events to happen on the night of The Golden Bachelor Wedding. Everyone assumed they would just be seeing Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist get married. However, Brayden Bowers had bigger plans. Prior to the wedding, he told Christina Mandrell how much she meant to him and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
It was pointed out that Brayden did go about this the right way and called Gerry and Theresa to ask for their permission before he did it. Plus, her dad revealed that Brayden even called him and got his blessing before proposing to his daughter.
While Brayden did call and get permission to pop the question, many wonder how Gerry and Theresa truly felt about it. The newlyweds appeared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast to share their thoughts on the subject.
They opened up to Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile and revealed their honest feelings about it all. Gerry said, “They called me. I heard a couple comments of people saying that was inappropriate or why steal the spotlight from the wedding. Brayden called me and he was very sincere and earnest about the request.”
Gerry went on to say, “I consider him a pretty good friend. I talk to him and some of the other Bachelor kids quite a bit. He was really earnest about the question. I told him that I would call Theresa and she said yes, so I buzzed him back quickly and I told him to go for it.”
Theresa Nist also weighed in on the topic
The bride also shared her thoughts on Brayden proposing at her wedding. She said, “They didn’t interfere with our wedding. That happened before we were even there. It was completely different than if they did it during the ceremony.” She continued saying, “It was just so cute; I loved getting to watch it. It was great. I say live and let live. The more love the merrier!”
Gerry also added that it was all a lot of excitement and the entire day was well put together.
These two genuinely seem happy for Brayden and Christina. Most fans feel the same and can’t wait to see when these two will take their own walk down the aisle.
