‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton Going Through A ‘Breakdown’?
Is 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton going through a “breakdown” amid the stress from her divorce from Michael Halterman? Her sister, Tammy Slaton seems to think so and she has good reason for her feelings. Why does she believe this? Read on for more details.
1000-Lb. Sisters Amy Slaton Going Through A ‘Breakdown’?
Amy Slaton was in a marriage to Michael Halterman and together, they had two children, Glenn and Gage. Unfortunately, she seemed to feel like she was doing everything on her own when it came to the kids. It was taking a toll on her and she could not handle it. Finally, in this season of 1000-Lb. Sisters, Amy decided it was time for a divorce. Luckily, her sister, Tammy Slaton is out of her weight loss rehab facility so she has her to lean on. Yet, Amy is not doing well whatsoever and Tammy is noticing this backslide, causing her to worry.
According to In Touch Weekly, in the latest episode of the hit TLC reality series, the Slaton ladies went to a Zumba class. However, Amy ended up falling ill and confessed she had not been keeping herself healthy. She copped to the fact that she was not taking her meds nor was she using her CPAP machine. Amy has sleep apnea so going without this device is quite dangerous. Though she confessed this to her sisters, Tammy, Misty, and Amanda Halterman, Amy did not want their feedback so she left.
That was when Tammy shared her feelings about a possible breakdown. “I feel like she is having a mental breakdown like I did. This is her breaking.” Tammy went on to add:
“Ever since she left Michael I think Amy’s having a midlife crisis breakdown and it’s making her sick. I know exactly how Amy feels. I’ve been there. I stopped caring about myself, stopped caring about everything. I do know how hard it is to pull yourself out of it.”
This was not an easy time for Tammy as she did want to help her sister, Amy Slaton while she struggled with a custody battle and divorce. Unfortunately, it was not the easiest time.
Hard On Everyone
Both sisters are having a hard time. Tammy Slaton is fresh out of rehab and misses her husband who still cannot grasp how to eat healthy just yet. At the same time, Amy Slaton does not know what way is up, as she wants to be with her kids but she is struggling to take care of herself. This will be a trying time but hopefully, they can all lean on each other. One never knows with this family.
