‘Bachelor’ Joey Graziadei Shares His Dad’s Coming Out Story
Joey Graziadei is known for his time on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette. After coming up short in the finale, Joey will be the new Bachelor. Fans love Graziadei and are ecstatic to watch his season and see if he can find love. Recently Joey opened up more about his family life, which included his father’s coming out story.

On Charity’s season of The Bachelorette, Joey made it to the final two. However, it did not work out in Joey’s favor as Charity stopped him from getting down on one knee. Viewers were concerned that Graziadei would not be ready to find new love since he got rejected. However, he did speak out and say that he is more than ready and is happy for Lawson regardless of the outcome. Joey Graziadei did open up to Charity about his father and that is the first fans had heard of it. According to Heavy, it was important to Joey to dive into his family life on the show.

The Family Life Behind The Bachelor
Joey Graziadei recently opened up more about his family dynamic. Graziadei is a child of divorce but not for the same reason as most. Joey revealed that his parents split up because his father is gay. He also let fans know that his parents co-parented well which did not affect his look on romance.
“My parents split when I was pretty young. I wouldn’t say it was easy. But my family is just an extremely loving family and both my parents were amazing co-parents, so the fact that that didn’t work out doesn’t take away from romance for me.”
Joey Graziadei also expressed that his dad is someone so important to him.
“My dad is one of my favorite people in this world. I talk to him about everything, so when you explain who he is as a person, it’s part of him and it’s something that needs to be talked about more and not so refrained from or worried to talk about. It just felt like the right moment at that time.”
Joey also revealed that he had conversations with his dad before revealing he was gay and why they got divorced.
