‘DOOL’ Beloved Soap Icon Bill Hayes Dead At 98

DOOL Beloved Soap Icon Bill Hayes Dead At 98
Sadly, a representative of Days Of Our Lives star William Foster Hayes III confirmed he passed away at the age of 98. A representative of both the star and DOOL issued the following statement on his passing to People Magazine:
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Bill Hayes. One of the longest-running characters on Days of our Lives, Bill originated the role of ‘Doug Williams’ in 1970 and portrayed him continuously throughout his life.”
The statement continued: “He and his wife, Susan Seaforth-Hayes, remained the foundation of the Williams-Horton family spanning more than 50 years.”
Ken Corday, Days Of Our Lives executive producer also issued a statement on Bill’s tragic passing:
“I have known Bill for most of my life and he embodied the heart and soul of Days Of Our Lives. Although we are grieving and will miss him, Bill’s indelible legacy will live on in our hearts and the stories we tell, both on and off the screen.”

He Was A Staple On Set
Bill Hayes was a staple on the set of Days Of Our Lives. This past summer, the cast and crew came together to celebrate his 98th birthday. The celebration happened on set and included a huge cake. During the celebration of his 98th birthday, he was also informed that he was the first person to ever sing on Days Of Our Lives.
