Cynthia Mans Speaks Out After Natalia Grace Docuseries
Natalia Grace was adopted by the Mans family after the Barnett’s cut her off. The crazy story of Natalia Grace was documented in a docuseries on Max, The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks. The series ended with a phone call from Antwon and Cynthia Mans, Natalia’s adoptive parents. The phone call was shocking to viewers as it seemed Natalia started acting out towards them too. Cynthia Mans recently spoke out on the issue.
The Story Of Natalia Grace
Natalia Grace was born in Ukraine and later brought to the US and adopted by Kristine and Michael Barnett. Natalia also suffers from a rare form of dwarfism. It did not take long for the Barnett’s to sever ties with Natalia. Soon after the adoption, Kristine and Michael Barnett started to see some odd behavior from Natalia Grace. The couple accused her of being an adult who was posing as a child. Not only that, but they felt as though Natalia was trying to kill them and their three sons. Natalia was even seen at the end of their bed holding a knife.
Some things did not add up, but during her docuseries, Natalia Grace had a DNA test that confirmed her age to be 22 years old. This would have made her a child when the Barnett’s adopted her. Kristine and Michael were so determined to get Natalia out that they put her in her apartment to be on her own when she was a kid. They later got charged in 2019 with neglecting a dependent. Regardless of her age, Natalia needed help due to her medical condition.
Cynthia Mans Lets Fans Know The Details
Natalia Grace recalled several moments of abuse that took place inside the Barnett’s home, the majority being done by Kristine Barnett. The alleged abuse was getting pepper sprayed, being beaten, and so much more. According to E News! Kristine has not told her side of the story but last week decided to make a Facebook post.
“any discipline of Natalia was very minimal and was not out of the bounds of normal parenting.”
At the end of the docuseries, The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks, Antwon, and Cynthia Mans are heard explaining that Natalia is out of control.
“Something ain’t right with Natalia. This girl is tweaking. I feel like she’s the enemy in the house. And she said to us, we have held her hostage. Made us look like we’re the enemy.”
This quickly made viewers wonder if there could have been some truth to Barnett’s story. However, Cynthia Mans reported that they are fine. Natalia Grace no longer lives with them but they are good.
“We are absolutely perfect, no, she doesn’t live with us but we are fine.”
She then added that it was a rough journey.
“It’s rough, but with God, we gonna make it, I am in prayer.”
