Wells Adams almost stepped in to host The Golden Wedding
Life & Style caught up with Wells Adams to get the scoop. As fans know, Jesse Palmer and his wife Emely Fardo are expecting their first baby. In fact, she could have gone into labor at any time so of course Jesse would want to be there for that.
Since her due date was fast approaching. So, producers called Wells not long before the big event in hopes he could step in and host should Jesse not be able to be there. Wells admits he was very stressed that night not knowing what was going to happen.
He said, “So, Jesse [Palmer’s] wife [Emely Fardo] was very, very pregnant, like maybe going into labor. So, they hit me up like two days beforehand, and they’re like, ‘Hey, listen, if Jesse can’t do this, you need to host this thing.’ And so, I was like, ‘Oh, no. This is like a completely live show. Man, I hope I don’t screw this thing up.’ And then, lo and behold, Jesse flew back like four hours before the show and did it. So, I was off the hook.”
He was also nervous because he only received the script for the live television wedding 18 hours before the rehearsal. Luckily it worked out for everybody.
Jesse shared with fans what was going on
Wells Adams also pointed out that Jesse did show up but it was stressful because Emely could have gone into labor at any time. He noted she would murder him if he missed it.
Jesse didn’t even do the run-through but it all turned out great.
When Jesse started things off he told viewers what was happening. He said his wife was ready to give birth at any time. He said to Emely, “Please call me if you feel anything. I will leave here immediately, and I’ll leave everything in the capable hands of my friends who I’ve enlisted to help me out here tonight.” Of course, Jesse was referring to Wells stepping in for him.
The wedding was perfect and the bride and groom were happily married. Before Jesse left he noted he had to leave because he was about to be a dad.
So far he has not shared if Emely had their baby.
What did you think of the wedding and Jesse’s hosting skills? Would you have liked to see Wells host?
