When the family of Theresa all flew in for the wedding, her six grandsons all got to spend time with their new “grandfather.” As Golden Bachelor fans know, there are no grandsons on Gerry’s side of the family. So, spending time with Dempsey, Leo, Henry, Brandon, Brody, and Braxton was amazing.

Gerry Turner also caught up with Jen Woolston, Theresa’s daughter, and her husband Matt. Remember, they were at the hometown date setting during the ABC show. Oh, and it was Jen’s birthday on the same day that her mom tied the knot. When the family got together at Theresa’s daughter’s house for the holiday, Gerry’s daughters also went there with their dad. And, they helped to make a special sweet treat.

Theresa Nist Gets A Special Treat

People reported that the daughters made some cinnamon balls. Why were they so special? Well, it turns out that their mom, Toni used to make them. The late wife of The Golden Bachelor lead made them every Christmas. Of course, it wasn’t only fun, but also a deep indication that Theresa’s fully accepted in her husband’s family. Meanwhile, the grandsons all went off and did things like play “pickleball” and “soccer” with their new grandpa.

Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner loves his pickleball, so it’s no surprise that someone gave Theresa pickleball paddles as a gift. In fact, she got more than one. Gerry gave her one, and his daughter’s friends gave her a pair that said, “Mr. and Mrs. Turner.” Nonetheless, she still had a lot of practice to do. The outlet cited her as saying:

I just do it at home and I pretend that I’m playing.

More fun came for the ABC stars. Ryan Seacrest did the New York Times New Year’s Eve event as usual, and the lovebirds joined him. Gerry said:

I’m not sure what could be more fun and exciting [than] New Year’s Eve in Times Square with Ryan Seacrest and watching the ball drop…This is amazing. I can’t believe we were a part of this.
