Kristen Doute Feels ‘Used’ By New Cast Member Jo
Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute is opening up about feeling “used” by new cast member, Jo Wenberg. Fans know her as Tom Schwartz’s roommate and occasional hookup buddy. Yet, she was also previously a close friend of Doute’s. Read on for more details of the situation.

In Season 10 of Pump Rules, it came out that Tom Schwartz had a roommate named Jo and it just so happened to be a female. Everyone questioned if this was his new girlfriend but he maintained that they were just friends who would hook up. Over time, it was revealed that she was introduced to the group through Kristen Doute but gave anyone who knew her the creeps. Katie Maloney, Schwartz’s ex-wife, noted she never liked her in any capacity and eventually, Kristen and Jo stopped being friends.
This upcoming season, Jo is seen more, even sharing the trailer on her Instagram. Now, Kristen has a lot to say about how her former friend made her way onto the show. According to Us Weekly, Kristen spoke out on the latest episode of her podcast, S*x, Love, and What Else Matters. She explained all the details about Jo, their friendship, and why she felt she was cast.

“For you listeners out there that don’t know, Jo was one of my best friends. When I say best friend, I don’t mean that lightly. This girl was my everyday ride-or-die, [and] we literally hung out all the time. Like, six days a week. We stopped talking right around the time she started talking to Tom [Schwartz].”
To validate Kristen’s story, her boyfriend, Luke Broderick chimed in that Jo was the first friend he ever met. The next time Luke and Jo saw each other was the evening Ariana Madix learned that Tom Sandoval was cheating on her. Soon, Jo went radio silent on Kristen, which was strange for the 40-year-old. Doute went on to add that it was Jo who stopped the friendship and then added: “Now all of a sudden she’s on the TV show that canned me.”

In the end, Kristen Doute shared that friends of both her and Jo have wondered if she was being used all along simply to get on the hit Bravo reality series. This would not be the first time. James Kennedy joined the show in Season 3 as Kristen’s boyfriend and a SUR busboy. Initially, he was moving in with Tom Sandoval but then he started hooking up with Kristen. Interestingly enough, no one heard of Jo Wenberg until Season 10 and Kristen was long gone. So, was she really using Kristen?
