‘Sister Wives’ Real Reason Not On Discovery+ Or MAX
What is the real reason that the new special episodes of Sister Wives are not streaming on Discovery+ or max? Fans are up in arms over the fact that part one of the specials Talk Back and Look Back were not on the streamers the morning after. So, what is the reason? Read on for more details.
Sister Wives Real Reason Not On Discovery+ Or MAX
When the Season 18 Sister Wives tell-all ended, fans knew that there was more to come for the year. Christine Brown and David Woolley’s dream wedding will air after the New Year in two parts. Furthermore, there were four specials that were also said to air. However, the schedule was somewhat murky, and the first part aired on Friday, December 22nd. It was Talk Back where the cast watched the first episode of the season, reacted, and responded to viewer questions and comments. Unfortunately, for those who missed it, they could not see it the next morning on Discovery+ or max.
There was no reason given as to why they did this but now a Reddit thread has been started with an explanation for why this may have been. It appears that someone spoke to the TLC live chat and inquired about this. They received a response and the OP prefaced it with this:
- They are screwing over their streaming subscribers in favor of cable.
So, it seems that only those who have TLC can watch the special episodes and everyone else has to wait. Upon learning this, what did fellow Redditors have to say about the response? More so, was it satisfactory or not?
- First, the appeal to having discovery plus was you got to see the episode before it aired. They took that away. And now you get to watch it after? Get bent.
- I cancelled. I will watch on Vinmeo for free from now on. It the monthly fee for Discovery+ is not enough to watch the show I want, I tap out.
- Same. Canceled! I’ll find it elsewhere.
- I’ve been watching them on Tik Tok. Someone is always going to post it the next day.
Canceling & Other Methods
It appears that Sister Wives fans are just canceling their streaming services. Moreover, they have looked to other methods in order to watch the episodes. One person said it can be viewed on Facebook while the above did mention TikTok as a resource. Again, it does appear that these special episodes will eventually be on streamers just not the day after. If you do have TLC and do not want to miss the specials again, do not miss the next two which air on Friday, 12/29, and Sunday, 12/31. However, the Friday one is on at 9 pm EST rather than 10 pm.
