Why Isn’t ‘Sister Wives Talk Back’ On MAX?
Why isn’t the Sister Wives special ‘Talk Back Part 1’ on max the morning after it aired? TLC opted to air an extra episode of the hit reality series on Friday, December 22nd. Yet, some fans did not realize it was even on due to the day and time change. When they looked for it on streaming services, it was not there but why? Read on for more details.
Why Isn’t Sister Wives ‘Talk Back’ On MAX?
When the last part of the Season 18 Sister Wives tell-all aired, the cast promised that there was more to come. This not only included Christine Brown and David Woolley’s lavish dream wedding but also four special episodes. Two of them were ‘Talk Back’ episodes where they responded to viewers’ thoughts and questions. Additionally, the cast watched the Season 18 premiere and reacted to it. Kody and Robyn were in their home together while Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown were in their respective spaces.
The ‘Talk Back’ episodes were airing on different nights which could be confusing for fans. Usually, the show is on Sunday nights at 10 pm EST. However, these particular specials were shown on Fridays at 9 pm EST starting on December 22nd. Unfortunately, those who missed it or do not have TLC, they thought they could watch it the following morning on a forum like max or discovery+. That was not possible and they immediately headed to a Facebook group to question why.
- There’s a special episode tonight – Friday 12/22. I watch this show on Discovery – but it seems tonight’s special is ONLY on TLC. Anyone have any info on this?

- Where can I watch the Talk Back episode? I don’t have cable and so far it’s not on Discovery plus or Max yet
Some simply suggested watching a lesser version of it on YouTube while another claimed it was on max. However, users had to scroll all the way to the beginning of the season. We tried it and came up empty.
In The Extras?
There is an “EXTRAS” section where Sister Wives is located. Upon checking there, there was nothing. Even if one searches for it, the ‘Talk Back’ episode is not on max. Additionally, if you are a Sling subscriber, it is not in the on-demand section, either. Now, there is no rhyme or reason for this and it seemingly happened with the final part of the tell-all. It was not available on discovery+ but it was on max so this is odd that this new episode is nowhere to be found.
If you want to make ensure you do not miss another new Sister Wives episode, DVR is the best option. Sunday 12/24 at 10 pm EST, Friday 12/29 at 9 pm EST, and Sunday 12/31 at 10 pm EST.
