Singer Sia has picked her three favorite contestants from Survivor Season 45 to give money to. She does this each season and it is great considering only one person can win the $1 million prize. That was Dee this time around. She also won the heart of Austin, which helped her to make it to the end of the game.

Why Does Sia Give Out Money?

Jeff Probst explained a bit about Sia giving out money to Survivor contestants in a recent interview. Jeff said, “She gets a lot of joy from watching Survivor players take on such a personal and often vulnerable life adventure. And she has been incredibly fortunate in her own career and wants to share some of that fortune with others.”

It used to be different, but now Sia picks after the season. Jeff explained saying, “Back when we did the live reunion shows, she would either be sitting in the audience or in my dressing room. She would watch the finale and then let me know who she wanted to receive the Sia Award. The players would find out immediately. It was very powerful to see it go down.”

Which Survivor Contestants Did She Pay?

This season of Survivor Sia picked three contestants to give money to. Katurah Topps got $100,000 from Sia. She was super excited about it and shared on X, saying “Omg omg. Today I got one of the best video calls of my life — @Sia told me that I was her FAVORITE PLAYER of #Survivor45 and she is awarding me $100,000! I’m so deeply honored, appreciative, and honestly, still in awe.”

That isn’t all the money that she gave out, though. Sia also gave Kaleb Gebrewold  and Jacob “Jake” O’Kane, an attorney on Belo, $15,000. Those are pretty great prizes too! So she picked out three people and gave them all money. They all couldn’t be happier about the prize too.
