‘Below Deck Med’ Katie Flood Returns After Tom Schwartz Fling?

Below Deck Med Season 8 premiered in September and it sure looked like Captain Sandy Yawn could have used Katie Flood again as chaos ensued. Will she return to the show again? In the meantime, where does she stand with Tom Schwartz after her fling with the Vanderpump Rules star during Bravo’s Winter House Season 3?
Below Deck Med Katie Flood Gave It All In Season 6
Tom Schwartz fell for a hard worker when he met the former Chief Stew during Winter House. Her only season on Captain Sandy Yawn’s vessel saw her work shorthanded, and she struggled with the juggled crew. In fact, her friend, Malia White worried that she might burn out. Well, they both moved on, and Tom’s winter companion wants to stick with Malia for a bit longer.
Katie Flood, otherwise known as “Floody” by the Vanderpump Rules star, seemed thrilled when Maloney’s ex returned from filming the Reunion. Finally, he managed to say her full name without thinking of and associating her with his ex, Katie Maloney. Winter House fans cheered, and later they heard that the duo had gone on a date after the show. That info came as a spoiler for the Winter House Reunion.
Will Katie Flood Be Back On Below Deck Med?
Monsters and Critics reported that in a Q&A on Instagram, it emerged that returning to Below Deck Med might not be impossible. When asked, she said that Bravo fans need to “ask BravoTV.” While the answer is non-committal, she could also have just said “no.” As she didn’t do that, perhaps she hinted that she might end up back there. The outlet also noted that she wanted to do another season with Malia White first.
As for how serious Tom Schartz from Vanderpump Rules and Katie Flood are, it should be noted that apparently, Malia was with the duo on their date. The outlet wrote:
These days, Katie and Tom speak sporadically, which is not a surprise considering her busy yachting career has her all over the world while Tom has to be in Los Angeles for work.
For now, it seems as if the Winter House fling brought the two reality TV stars closer as friends. Potentially, they could become long-term lovers. But will Katie Flood ditch her career for the Vanderpump Rules star? That seems unlikely, at least in the short term.
Winter House Again?
When Andy Cohen spoke with the cast at the Reunion for Winter House, they unanimously shouted out that they would definitely “do it again.” Perhaps there will come another time for the two friends to become more serious lovers.
