Hallmark hunks Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell recently were asked about Candace Cameron Bure. They were asked about her reasons for leaving Hallmark for Great American Family. What did the Three Wise Men And A Baby stars have to see about her shock departure?

What These Hallmark Hunks Said Was Reason For Candace Cameron Bure’s Departure?

Recently, Vulture interviewed Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell about their Hallmark success. Understandably, the trio was asked why they thought Candace Cameron Bure left for GAF. All three shared some insights that were quite different from other Hallmark stars who have spoken about CCB.

Firstly, Andrew W. Walker thought her departure was for business reasons. “I think it was just a good excuse to cover up an opportunity she had somewhere else. Whether she thought she had it less at Hallmark because she’s an executive now over at Great American Family, I don’t know. That’s the way I took it.”

Meanwhile, Tyler Hynes mused, “I can’t imagine how complicated or nuanced her relationship was or wasn’t. All I know is, for us, it’s a very simple why we’re here. We know what we’re doing.” Then he shared that he knew why he was there, but did not speak for his other two Hallmark co-stars.

Candace Cameron Bure Left After Other Hallmark Stars Exited For Great American Family

Candace Cameron Bure left Hallmark to work in an executive position at Great America Family back in April 2022. Her new job at the network was to do more than act. Her additional job is to curate content at the executive level.

Six months later, she told the Wall Street Journal that she left the feel-good network to make movies for the “family-friendly” content at GAF. She claimed that GAF would “keep traditional marriage at the core.” This was taken as a dig at the LGBTQ+ community. This caused a lot of people to call her out including her Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin.

Lastly, CCB also blamed the “new leadership” for her departure.

Moreover, she was not the first Hallmark star to leave. Early on, Trevor Donovan, Danica McKellar, Jessica Lowndes, Jen Lilley, and Susie Abromeit all signed exclusive deals. However, not long after CCB’s interview, Neal Bledsoe announced he would not be working for GAF again.

Hallmark Hunks Defend Network’s Culture

Although Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell cannot agree with Candace Cameron Bure’s statements, they revealed that the company culture is a “trickle-down effect from the top.” But, they are not interested in comparing the two networks.

Paul Campbell clarified that “Hallmark is the only place that does specifically what Hallmark does.”

Hallmark fans, do you agree with Andrew Walker’s explanation of why Candace Cameron Bure left the network?
