‘My 600-lb Life’: When Will The New Season Premiere?
My 600-lb Life is one of the most popular reality shows on TLC, and it’s returning for a 12th season. Dr. Now plays a major role in the show as he gives his patients the proper regimens to lose weight and see if they’re qualified for bariatric surgery. He has faced patients with different personalities. Some of them were against his programs, while others were determined to follow him. The surgeon will return once again to face a handful of patients in the upcoming season, and he’ll also get to meet some of his past patients as well. Keep reading to see when the new season and its spinoff premiere.
My 600-lb Life Remains A Big Hit
My 600-lb Life has been consistent with its massive audience after 11 seasons. The show follows a patient’s weight loss journey for a year, making its production difficult. According to reports, the show’s demand is 8.6 times the audience of an average TV show in the United States.
The show debuted in 2012. The first season featured the stories of four patients, Melissa Morris, Donald Shelton, Henry Foots, and Ashley Randall. Sadly, Henry and Ashley passed away. Dr. Now’s patients steadily increased in the following seasons. Now, fans will finally get to see the bariatric surgeon and his “tough love” for his patients in Season 12.
When Will Season 12 Premiere?
According to TLC, the 12th season of My 600-lb Life will premiere on Wednesday, March 6, 2023, at 8 p.m. The network has also released the logline, stating that the season will feature Dr. Now performing high-risk gastric bypass surgery on his patients. Some of them are a paralyzed man and a bride-to-be. The upcoming season will also feature the story of a drug addict who’s now dominated by compulsive eating. Due to this, fans can expect that Season 12’s storylines will be as interesting as the past seasons.
My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? Premiere Date
Aside from Season 12, TLC will also release episodes from the spinoff, My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? It will feature some of the past patients of Dr. Now who are going to give updates about their journey. According to the network, the special episodes will premiere on Wednesday, April 24, at 8 p.m.
The network didn’t exactly share who would return on the spinoff. Though there’s a possibility that some of them may come from last season. Many are also hoping that TLC will release follow-up episodes for some patients who ended up with cliffhanger episodes throughout the older seasons.
