Here is what Hallmark’s Friends & Family Christmas is about. According to the Hallmark synopsis, Dani is creative. She is determined to make a living as an artist. Therefore, she recently moved to New York so she can get every opportunity imaginable.
In addition, this Christmas season, she is very excited to be celebrating with her group of artistic friends. This year, there will be a cornucopia of fundraising events for their artist lab. Therefore, she is not heading home for the holiday.
Instead, her parents who are “Christmas-crazy” decide to head to the big city to celebrate with their daughter. They want her to remember their family holiday traditions. Dani is ready to eschew the past and move on with new traditions. But, she doesn’t want her parents to feel bad.
Also, her parents are trying to set her up with their friend’s daughter. Amelia, the woman they want to set her up with, is nothing like her. She is a “hard-driven lawyer.” Furthermore, her father is anxiously trying to get her set up as well.
Therefore, Dani and Amelia decide to have a faux-mance. They have decided to fake a relationship through the holidays to get their parent off their backs. But, things seem to backfire as they spend more time together.
Just as things are heating up with this romance, Dani gets the opportunity that she has been waiting for. But, before they can admit that they have feelings for each other, they stop all contact.
Now, Dani must make a big gesture to get Amelia back. Moreover, she wants to tell her that this is true love.
