‘MBFFL’ Fans Split Over Whitney’s Dad, Glenn Thore, Dating
This year on My Big Fat Fabulous Life, fans watched Glenn Thore find himself again after losing his wife, Babs. It’s been an incredibly difficult year for the entire family. Thankfully, it seems that Glenn is starting to develop more of a social life. Fans are glad that he’s realized there is a life after losing a loved one.
But is dating in the cards for the reality television star? Some MBFFL fans think he would make an excellent candidate for The Golden Bachelor. Others aren’t so sure that he should date at all.

Moving on with life after losing a spouse is undoubtedly one of the most difficult losses a person will face. Just a year after Babs Thore’s death, some My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers would love to see Glenn Thore move on with someone new. But many aren’t quite so sure he is ready yet.
“Cannot wait for Glenn to date, maybe Angie knows someone in AL to set him up with, or…Glenn for the Golden Bachelor!” one Redditor titled their thread this week.
While many others said they were excited for Glenn to have more of a social life, others expressed concern. Whitey Way Thore loves being part of her family members’ lives, but perhaps a little too much. Fans previously expressed concern when Hunter confirmed he had a new girlfriend. Many viewers are afraid of what Whitney will do if her father starts dating.
“Whitney will ruin it right away. He needs to get away from her,” another Redditor shared in the comments.
“He just lost the love of his life!! There’s no rush or even a need to date,” another Reddit user wrote. Many others echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that Glenn probably needs more time before jumping back into the dating pool. After all, Babs passed away on December 7, 2022. The year anniversary is just now this week.

Overall, the Reddit thread had several comments about giving Glenn space time to grieve and heal. However, many others pointed out that he may choose to date for companionship.
“My parents were married for over 50 years when my mom passed. My dad dated maybe a couple of months later. I was upset. But my brother explained it to me that at his age, it was mainly for companionship. Someone to do things with. Golf, go out to eat. Go to the gambling boat. Someone his own age,” another Redditor chimed in.
It doesn’t appear that Glenn Thore has found a new partner yet. However, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans genuinely seem to want the best for the family patriarch. Time will tell what happens next.
