‘Out Of Touch’ Kim Kardashian Uses Grocery Bag As Purse
Kim Kardashian wouldn’t be true to herself if she didn’t make statements in fashion. That’s exactly what the star has done at a recent fashion show. Keep reading to learn all about Kim’s latest look and the grocery bag purse she opted to carry.
Kim Kardashian’s new handbag
Kim Kardashian isn’t one to let what other people think stop her, especially when it comes to fashion. While attending Balenciaga’s 2024 pre-fall show, Kim stepped out in an outfit that likely had some people scratching their heads. Especially as she carried a grocery bag as a purse. The mom of four stepped out carrying what looks to be a brown, paper grocery bag.
Of course, Kim isn’t going to carry around just any grocery bag though. Instead, it’s an Erewhon bag. Erewhon is an extremely high-end grocery store featuring things like $20 smoothies. Apparently, this bag is actually an Erewhon x Balenciaga collab.
However, the grocery store references didn’t stop there. The star took it one step further. She added a bouquet of white flowers to really make it look like she just went grocery shopping.

“This is my purse for the day,” Kim can be heard saying in a video from the event. “A little Erewhon Balenciaga bag,” she continues.
While it seems that some love the bag and the idea, others aren’t sure this was a good look. They took to X to discuss.
“So out of touch,” one person writes.
“Kim is so tacky,” another says.
Going casual
The bag wasn’t the only casual part of Kim’s look. In fact, she kept the whole thing pretty comfortable looking with a pair of black and nude lace pant/boots on the bottom. On top, she went for a nude turtleneck and put a simple black zip-up over that. Her formally honey-brown hair is now back to black and is pretty wavy as it hangs down her skinny torso. She finished the whole look off with oversized, black shades.
There’s no telling why Kim opted for such a casual look. Her sister, Kendall Jenner, didn’t get the same memo. Instead, she went much more formal wearing a fitted black dress. Not only did she wear a dress, but the outfit also included a long cape hanging down her back. It seems that while Kim went for the most casual look she could find, Kendall was up for a more formal challenge.
