The dramatic season finale of Golden Bachelor is just days away. The preview shows Gerry Turner’s breakdown over having to choose between two women. After starting with 22 contestants, only two women are left standing.
At the end of the first-ever Golden Bachelor season, the widower will propose to either Theresa Nist, 70, or Leslie Fhima, 64. There are spoilers online for those who can’t wait to see it unfold on-screen.
Theresa Nist Has Close Relationship With Only Daughter
Many of the Golden Bachelor contestants have adult children. Some of them tragically lost their husbands, like Gerry Turner lost his wife. Others, like Fhima, are divorcees.
Turner, Nist, and Fhima all have adult children. According to Distracify, Nist has two children – a son and a daughter. She’s mentioned on the reality show having a very close relationship with her daughter, Jen Woolston.
It was revealed on Golden Bachelor that her daughter wrote her mom a heartfelt letter, encouraging her to follow her heart with Gerry Turner.
Theresa Nist’s Daughter Defends Her From Online Trolls
Theresa Nist was a frontrunner from the beginning after quickly forming a connection with the 72-year-old widower. In fact, spoiler-free Bachelor Nation fans spotted a huge clue in the promo that they think means she is Turner’s final rose winner.
However, between Nist and Leslie Fhima, fans seem to prefer the idea of Gerry Turner ending up with Fhima over Nist. Online haters have called Nist jealous and petty, among other things.
Amid the online hate, Jen Woolston took to her Instagram to come to her mother’s defense. She shared a lengthy post listing her mother’s attributes alongside a photo of Nist, Woolston, and two of Woolston’s children.
“My mom has been in my corner from day one. She made me feel like I was smart, I was kind, I was thoughtful, and I could do anything I put my mind to,” Jen Woolston’s post began. She went on to call her mom her “best friend” and her “biggest fan.”
Nist’s daughter wrote that when she was helping her mom pick out dresses for the show, they “didn’t think about how many people would be analyzing every move and on their phones and computers writing negative things about her.”
Woolston went on to share how she sees her mother. “She is enthusiasm, energy, fun, encouraging, silly, loving, thoughtful, optimistic and so much more.”
She added, “She is NOT manipulative, needy, jealous, blah blah blah.”
Jen Woolston ended the post with a summary: “I am [her] biggest fan and will be forever and always.”
