Blake Moynes Shares Where He Really Stands With Katie Thurston
Blake Moynes appeared on Bachelor in Paradise this season and had the shock of his life when his ex-fiance Katie Thurston showed up on the beach. Katie has teased their reunion for months. Fans finally saw her arrival last week on the show. Katie admitted she was glad to see him even though when he first saw her she said he looked like he saw a ghost. Since their meeting this summer, they have been more friendly but the question is how friendly. Keep reading to see what Blake has to say about where they really stand today.
Blake Moynes shares where he and Katie Thurston really stand
Blake Moynes spoke with Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on Bachelor Happy Hour. Katie Thurston and Blake have caused the rumor mill to start churning after she started following him on social media again and they have appeared together on social media. In fact, she attended a wildlife conservation event in San Diego that Blake was a part of.
Fans are eager to know if there is any chance that Blake and Katie are reuniting as a couple. Serena even shared that she has had friends texting her about whether Blake and Katie were getting back together. Blake filled everyone in on what’s really going on between them.
He said, “You saw in the episode, it was a very cordial and mutual mature conversation that allowed us to essentially connect again in the outside world, but in a very friendly manner. To the point where now, it just feels supportive. I knew she was going on another show and we were able to connect in the outside world in a way where you can have a healthy relationship with an ex. That’s where that is.”
Blake went on to say, “When that event was happening in San Diego, I was going to invite her with some other Bachelor Nation folks coming. It was a lot of fun that night and I’m glad she came and it was a good support. Prior to that, there was a lot of spite there with me traveling a lot and not being able to spend as much time together as we maybe would’ve liked, so her coming around and really supporting that work now was really nice and I appreciate it a lot.”
Moving forward in the real world
It looks like Blake and Katie are at least on speaking terms again. When they first got engaged during her season of The Bachelorette fans thought they were the real deal and would make it.
While it’s not confirmed it seems that both Blake and Katie are single. However, rumors have also been circulating that perhaps Blake and Rachel Recchia have something going on.
These rumors started because Rachel went on a turtle-tracking trip with Blake in Florida.
