‘My 600-lb Life’: S10 David Nelson Looking Unrecognizable Today
My 600-lb Life alum David Nelson an impressive journey with Dr. Now. He appeared in Season 10, weighing 763 lbs. Just like other patients in the show, the Idaho native suffered from traumatic experiences since he was a child. He was neglected and abused while in the foster care system. He never got to eat normally during that time.
Due to this, he began to overeat when he got the opportunity. He was already 250 lbs at middle school, and his lifestyle was nowhere near where healthy. Fortunately, he found the determination to turn his life around. Keep reading to see his incredible transformation.
My 600-lb Life: David Nelson’s Weight Loss Journey
David wasted no time following Dr. Now’s weight loss regimes. He initially struggled on his journey and even gained 38 pounds. However, the My 600-lb Life alum didn’t give up and eventually dropped 155 lbs. Unfortunately, his weight was still not enough to qualify for bariatric surgery. Nevertheless, he was still committed to reaching his physical goals. He kept in touch with the fans after his episode. Many of his posts today indicate that he’s still pursuing a healthy lifestyle. He ended his episode weighing 608 lbs.
David Is Looking Unrecognizable Today
David revealed in August that he reached 495 lbs. He was also thankful for all the support he’s been getting and the help he received from the show. Many are also inspired by the progress he has made. In October, the My 600-lb Life alum shared a photo of himself showing off slimmer facial features. He also received positive comments from the fans in the selfie he posted in September.

My 600-lb Life: Did David Nelson Get His Weight Loss Surgery?
David left the show without getting bariatric surgery. However, the former My 600-lb Life star set up a fundraiser in March to help him fix a van he’s planning to use to travel to California, where he’s planning to get his weight loss surgery. He also sought more financial help in July after he relocated to Texas.
David Nelson has yet to share if he got the operation. But it’s clear that he’s doing his best to reach his goals. His IG bio also states that he’s pursuing to drop his weight to 250 lbs. He also mentioned taking good care of his mental health.
