‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Gets Heated And Goes On Crazy Goobers Rant
During the Live With Kelly And Mark show, Kelly Ripa said that she “didn’t want to hear it.” As she is discussing the actors’ strike, Kelly heats up and goes off on a rant. During this, she has called out her critics for criticizing her habits.
Kelly Ripa Opens The Discussion
During Monday’s show, Kelly and Mark Consuelos talk about returning to the theater to watch movies. Both are excited that the actors’ strike is finally over and they can talk about movies and TV shows again. Furthermore, Kelly discusses, “Hollywood is now calling for intermissions at theaters.” For example, if it is a long film, the theater will break in the middle. Meanwhile, the Live With Kelly And Mark host points out that people will have to buy more snacks now for the longer movies.
Mark Consuelos Gets Kelly Stirred Up
Continuing the conversation and riling Kelly Ripa up Mark Consuelos asks her, “What’s your favorite snack?” Admittedly, Kelly says, “I love Dots and buttered popcorn.” She then says, “And I don’t want to hear it.” Adamantly, Kelly holds her hands up and reiterates, as Mark and the crowd laugh, “I don’t want to hear about how I’m supposed to put, what are the chocolate-covered peanuts called?” She looks around the room for some help with what she was thinking. Getting an answer from the crew, she says to the audience, “Goobers.”
Kelly Is Adamant About Her Choices
Markedly, Kelly Ripa continues expressing her choices, “I don’t want to hear about how I should put the Goobers and the Raisinets in the popcorn and mix them up.” Imagining the taste, Mark makes a sound, “Oooo.” Kelly makes it clear, “I like what I like, ok?” Clarifying, she says, “I like my buttered popcorn separate and my box of Dots separate.” Telling everyone, “I don’t want to hear it.” Mark acknowledges, “Noted.” Kelly pushes on, “Because I’m going to get at’d all day on Instagram. ‘You should really try.’ Shh. Shh.” Attempting to head off the foreseen comments, she says, “You put your Goobers in your popcorn and Godspeed.” Noting, “These are my snacks,” Kelly said. “My snacks aren’t about your preference.”
Having said her peace, Kelly Ripa nods and says, “Ok? Thank you,” as she finishes her rant. Then realizing how long she spent on the topic, she leans back in her chair and laughs at her extended rant on candy and popcorn. But justifyingly, she needs to say just a little more, “I’m tired of people telling me what to eat.” Mark says, without argument, “Yeah. I get that,” pausing briefly, “I would never do that.” At that point, Mark moves on with the show while Kelly continues to laugh at her emphatic snack expression.
