Undoubtedly, The View panel is comprised of strong women with equally strong opinions. Needless to say, there are times it can get a little carried away on-air when passions come into play. During Thursday’s show, Whoopi Goldberg takes a turn in the conversation. Notably, the producer jumps in and immediately sends the show to break.

Whoopi Goldberg Has To Go With The Flow

Naturally, as the show moderator, Whoopi Goldberg directly interacts with the producers and crew often. For instance, there was an incident earlier this week where she called out a crew member for having an on-air hiccup. After Whoopi welcomes back the viewers from a commercial break she quickly stops before finishing. “We are back here with Henry Winkler. Apparently today- ok! See, you all like to this to me,” she said while smiling and altering course. Then, Sunny Hostin says, “Is it my question?” But Whoopi referring to the show’s crew, responds, “Yeah, but they’re giving me a whole other thing!” Continuing, “Just to see if I’m awake!” Acknowledging, Sunny Hostin says, “Something else was in the prompter but it’s my question.” Sometimes the crew and producers steer her in a new direction.

The View Opens Discussion On A Sensitive Issue

Admittedly, Whoopi Goldberg asks The View producer if she was in trouble after talking about a sensitive topic on air. But the producer said the show needed a break. On Thursday’s show, The View hosts start by welcoming MSNBC host, Donny Deutsch, from the On Brand podcast. Specifically, he was there discussing the Hamas vs. Israel War and how to stop anti-Semitism in America. Within the discussion, each of the hosts asks Donny questions. Professionally it was a very civil, informative conversation. But after about seven minutes, Whoopi Goldberg speaks her mind.

Whoopi Goldberg Gets Passionate

Moreover, Whoopi Goldberg passionately adds inserts about the bible and points out Jesus was Jewish. But then Whoopi abruptly stops talking and looks over at the producer. She asks, “Am I in trouble now?” But Brian Teta just says, “We’re out of time.” Relieved, Whoopi says, “Ok. Good. We’ll be right back with Donny Deutsch.” The panel chuckles at Whoopi’s question to the producer and Donny gives a smile. Despite having a sensitive discussion, they all seem to move forward.

What do you think about the interaction between Whoopi Goldberg and the producer? Do you think it was just about timing or was he trying to reign her in a bit? Do you think Whoopi Goldberg does a good job keeping up with all the twists and turns The View’s producers and crew throw at her? Drop your comments in the section below.
