‘DWTS’ Lindsay Arnold Claps Back After Fans Say It’s ‘Fixed’
Lindsay Arnold is angry with Dancing With The Stars fans who claim the voting system is rigged.
The 29-year-old dancer has stepped away from the show to focus on motherhood for now. Fans were delighted to hear her youngest sister Rylee Arnold would become the newest pro on the show when the Season 32 cast list came out. However, many DWTS viewers soured on Rylee and her celebrity partner, Harry Jowsey.
Although Harry and Rylee have plenty of chemistry and are fun to watch, several fans feel they’ve overstayed their welcome on the show. Their scores continue to hover near the bottom of the pack and some viewers are ready to see them go.
After this week’s Monster Night episode, Lindsay Arnold is coming to her sister’s defense. What exactly did she have to say?
Lindsay Arnold shuts down internet trolls
After each performance, the official Dancing With The Stars Instagram page shares highlights from each couple’s dance. Harry and Riley received a 28/40 for their Argentine tango to “Blinding Lights” by District 78. To celebrate “Monster Night,” the pair were dressed as aliens and were almost completely unrecognizable to the audience.
Sadly, many naysayers took over the comments section on Instagram.
“How did he get the same score as Alyson [Hannigan]? I feel like she has actually improved a lot and today he did better, but how the heck did they get the same scores? Alyson should have gotten some more 8s then…” one viewer wrote.
“It’s not a dance contest anymore, it’s a popularity contest,” another added.
But Lindsay Arnold was not about to accept the negative comments.
“No one could EVER understand how demanding and difficult this show is unless you have actually done it and I see firsthand how HARD @harryjowsey and @ryleearnold1 work to put out the best dance they can every single week! So proud of them!” the Season 25 champion commented on the Instagram post.
The former pro mentors Rylee and Harry behind the scenes
Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold still have their fair share of supporters since they’re still in the competition. Behind the scenes, Lindsay has been visiting the duo in the rehearsal room and giving them pointers.
However, some think she’s done a bit too much for the pair.
It makes sense that Lindsay would help Rylee choreograph a few steps. But after Disney 100 Night, many viewers pointed out that some of Rylee’s choreo was identical to Lindsay’s Disney choreo in Season 28.
If Harry and Rylee want to stay in the competition, they’re going to have to make some rapid changes and improvements backstage. Lindsay can only do so much to help them.
