Gypsy Rose Blanchard Ready To Speak Come Release
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is ready to speak come her release date from prison in December 2023. This is earlier than initially expected but she has plans to do a lot when she gets out. So, what exactly is on her agenda upon her release? Read on for more details.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Ready To Speak Come Release
It has been eight years since Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her then-boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, brutally killed her mother Dee Dee. Essentially, Dee Dee had spent most of her time raising Gypsy as a single parent which is a tough feat. Yet, she took it one step further and consistently made Gypsy believe that she was sick and had a plethora of ailments. She would take her to every doctor and children’s hospital, start fundraisers, and allegedly went so far as to lie about Gypsy’s age to make her seem younger. Additionally, she kept her daughter bald and wheelchair-bound.
This is called Munchausen by proxy and when Gypsy could not take it anymore, she started dating Nick Godejohn via the Internet. He had his own issues and then, together, they killed Dee Dee. It seemed to be the only way that Gypsy knew to be free from her mother. Yes, she had a dad but she seemed to be unaware of him and when he learned what had transpired, he wished he could have done more. Both Gypsy and Nick were sentenced to jail time but she is now getting out.
A Hulu miniseries was even made, The Act, starring Joey King which was critically acclaimed. It attempted to show the torture Gypsy Rose Blanchard endured at the hands of her mother. Next month, Gypsy will be released and, according to Starcasm, she has a lot of plans. She would like to publicly speak about her experience with Munchausens and really raise awareness as to how awful it truly can be. Gypsy has also been engaging in group therapy while incarcerated. This will not end once she is released.
Support System
Gypsy Rose Blanchard has an incredible support system. She has a sister who has been posting on TikTok about her release. Plus, Gypsy is married to a man named Ryan who she seems very happy with. He is apparently going to be there for her while she learns to adapt to the real world. Hopefully, this is a fresh start for her and she can move on and up from her past trauma.
