‘My 600-lb Life’: How’s Carrie Johnson After Tragic Experiences?
My 600-lb Life alum Carrie Johnson has been through a lot in her weight loss journey. She was 603 pounds when she appeared in Season 9. Her life was already in danger by the time she sought Dr. Now’s help. The Texas native’s began to gain weight after losing her father in a botched weight loss surgery. She coped with food to fight stress. But her problems got even worse. Aside from her health, she had problems with her husband, Chris, who was also overweight.
My 600-lb Life: Carrie Johnson’s Weight Loss Journey
Carrie has been through a lot before seeking Dr. Now’s help. She suffered from a miscarriage and needed to have a hysterectomy, which created a rift in their intimacy. However, the My 600-lb Life alum proceeded to lose weight despite all the heartbreaks. She followed the surgeon’s programs and lost enough pounds to qualify for bariatric surgery.
After her operation, Johnson dropped 194 pounds. Her last reported weight was 409 lbs. She still has a lot to work on after her episode, including her struggling marriage with her husband. Carrie had a rough experience in her past relationships. She and her daughter were physically abused by a man she met online, which led her to become a single mother for years. But her life changed when she met Chris. Many of their social media photos today show that they were able to work things out and are now living happily.
Did Her Husband Lose Weight?
While Carrie lost a significant amount of weight during the show, it’s unclear how much her husband had dropped. However, Chris has been supportive of his wife’s journey and often joins in her routines. In October, the My 600-lb Life alum shared a photo with her spouse looking a lot healthier. It also appears that Chris has slimmed down as well. Carrie Johnson has yet to share her current weight. But in her recent FB post, she told a fan that she’s still pushing hard to achieve her physical goals.
My 600-lb Life: What Are Carrie & Chris Johnson Up To Today?
Carrie remains discreet about her job after the show. She took to FB in October to promote stores that sell decorative tumblers. However, it seems she’s not affiliated with the company. She also likes to share cute photos of her dogs. Meanwhile, Chris presently works as a truck driver at Dean’s Meat Service. He has been uploading sweet pictures with his wife as well. The two spend most of their free time traveling and watching movies together.
