My 600-lb Life alum Leneatha Reed, who also goes by the name Leneathra, had an unfortunate journey in Season 8. She weighed 604 pounds in her debut. The Mississippi native began to gain weight after having breast reduction surgery. She even had health issues due to steroid medications. Her journey with Dr. Now didn’t pay off well. Leneathra was dedicated to losing weight and followed Dr. Now’s programs. She tried sticking to her 1200-calorie diet and regular exercise. However, duties as a mother put a big road bump in her journey. She also missed multiple appointments, which ultimately led her to have an early departure from the show. The My 600-lb Life alum only lost 29 pounds despite her efforts. Her last reported weight was 575 lbs.

But she made it clear before leaving that she would continue to pursue losing weight. She has kept in touch with the fans after her episode. Many of her photos indicate that she lost a significant amount of weight. Unfortunately, she remains discreet about her current scale today. In April, Reed shared a stunning photo of herself looking a lot healthier. Her selfie from October 2022 also shows her slimmer facial features.

Leneatha also achieved some big milestones after the show. In 2021, the former My 600-lb Life star graduated from the Certified Nurse Assistant program. It’s also reported that she’s currently a healthcare worker. She has also participated in marathons and often shares her workout routines. She also hustles on social media by selling laundry detergents and clothing. It’s unclear if she will have a return episode similar to some of her co-stars. But it seems that Leneathra Reed is now living happily despite her failure in the show.

Aside from losing weight, Leneathra also puts a lot of effort into her kids. She’s been a proud and supportive mother. In March 2023, the My 600-lb Life alum shared her excitement after her daughter won an award at the Mississippi Universal Miss State Pageant. She even set up charities to help fund her daughter’s needs during the pageant.

Leneatha Reed also uses Facebook as a platform to spread positivity. She’s been encouraging her followers to join her worship meetings. At this point, fans can only hope that she will soon give major updates regarding her weight loss journey.
