‘My 600-lb Life’: Dominic Hernandez Gets Fresh Start, Where Is He Now?
My 600-lb Life alum Dominic Hernandez is one of the most unsuccessful patients of Dr. Now. However, he also had a heartbreaking story after becoming the first star in the franchise to become homeless. He appeared in Season 8 at 672 pounds. The California native also struggled with maintaining a healthy lifestyle and doing regular exercise due to his living conditions. My 600-lb Life: Did Dominic Hernandez Lost Weight?
Dr. Now is known for his strict programs and straightforward remarks to his patients. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out between him and Dominic. He only lost 23 pounds in two months, failing to reach his goal of dropping 60 lbs. The former My 600-lb Life star found it hard to follow the bariatric surgeon’s weight loss goals. He was given another chance. However, Hernandez never lost weight on his second attempt, which ultimately led to his departure. He hasn’t been in touch on social media. But he has made it clear that he will continue to pursue losing weight behind cameras.
Dominic Found A New Home
Aside from shedding pounds, Dominic Hernandez also struggled in life due to being homeless. But in 2020, he revealed that he moved to an apartment in Texas with his brother. He also set up a fundraiser to help fund his fresh start in life. It’s unclear if the My 600-lb Life alum has any jobs today. Many of his old FB posts show that he has a big interest in old songs. He hasn’t shared any pictures aside from his profile photo when he was still young. Regardless, many are cheering for his weight loss journey despite leaving the show early.
My 600-lb Life: Dominic Hernandez Shares Update On His Physical Journey
Dominic also shared major updates about his weight loss on his fundraiser page. In March 2022, the My 600-lb Life alum revealed that he’s now doing much better and has dropped his weight to around 500 lbs. He also added that he’s feeling much better and his knees no longer hurt a lot.
Furthermore, Dominic Hernandez said he’s focusing on his mental health and that he still has a lot of work to do. But he’s thankful for the support he’s been receiving, which motivates him to work even harder. His charity has already reached $10,773 with a goal of $15,000. At this point, fans can only hope that he will soon resurface on social media with exciting news.
