Ryan Sutter Shares Devastating Loss of Best Friend, Fans Rally
Ryan and Trista Sutter of The Bachelorette Season 1 have been talking about their family struggles a lot lately. Their dog Sophie has been sick and they moved across Colorado. This has been a lot for them. Now, the couple is sharing devastating news.
Sophie’s Surgery
Ryan shared earlier today that his best friend Sophie was having surgery. They were hoping that everything would come out okay for her. At the time, he said, “Left Sophie as she heads into another surgery not knowing if this might have been the last time I see her…. There are no words for this.” Along with that, Ryan shared a picture of his adorable dog.
Trissa Sutter also shared a picture on Instagram of Ryan that showed him with their dog in her cage as she went in for her surgery. Ryan was always by her side when she needed him.
Ryan Shares Devastating News
Ryan went to his Facebook to share the devastating news that Sophie didn’t make it through her surgery. He said, “Rest in Peace Sophie Bear. I wish we’d had more time but I’m grateful for the time we had. You will be forever missed and remembered…” Along with the post he shared a picture of her out in the snow. Ryan and Trista Sutter lived in Vail, Colorado for a long time and Ryan was always sharing pictures of her out enjoying the snow with him.

- Heartbreaking 💔 So very sorry 😢 We just had to put our 17 year old dog down a couple of months ago and I’ve never felt such pain. It’s still a struggle but I’m holding on to pictures and memories to get through the days 🤍 hugs to you all.
- Huge hugs Sutter. When my dog passed, a wise guy (you) said that dogs come into your life to make it better. I know Sophie did that for you- it’s always too short though. Lots of great memories until you meet again at the rainbow 🌈 bridge.
