‘DWTS’ Peta Murgatroyd Speaks Out After Partner Drops Her
Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd is speaking up after an incident during Disney 100 Night.
Viewers in the audience and at home held their breath while her partner Barry Williams appeared to drop her during their routine. Fortunately, Peta wasn’t injured. The pair quickly recovered and even successfully finished their routine. If it weren’t for the drop, many fans believe it would have been a great number.
After the episode ended, DWTS viewers voiced their opinions online. Many believed that Barry tanked the routine and hurt their chances of winning the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
But how exactly does Peta Murgatroyd feel?
Peta Murgatroyd sheds light on the Disney 100 Night incident
Seasoned Dancing With The Stars fans know that the pro dancers are intensely competitive. Sometimes they are visibly frustrated when things go wrong on the dance floor. Many viewers noticed Peta Murgatroyd’s change in demeanor after Barry Williams dropped her.
Now, she’s making her feelings about the situation clear.
Heavy shares that Peta took to Instagram after the performance to clearly express her feelings.
“This was a tough, rough night and, you know, I didn’t know what was going to happen and you guys just banded together for the love of Barry because he is amazing. We all love him dearly, especially me,” the mother of two shared in her Instagram story.
She went on to say that fans likely did notice her look of disappointment onscreen. According to Peta, she saw Barry nail the lift so many times so she felt disappointed they didn’t land it during the actual performance. Fortunately, the pair did make it to week five. They’re doing the Paso doble on Tuesday and are working hard.
“Trust me, guys, no one loves Barry more than I do, okay?” Peta finished the Instagram story.

Some Redditors think the dancer was more to blame here
On Dancing With The Stars, the pro dancers choreograph their routines. While many viewers empathized with Peta, others think she set herself up to fail by having Barry lift her.
“PETA, stop having Barry lift you!” one Redditor said online. “The man is almost 70 years old and has already showed you it’s dangerous!! Take a point deduction if you need to for no lift, you are going to hurt him.”
Plenty of other Redditors echoed similar sentiments and agreed the lift wasn’t a good idea in the first place.
What do you think about their routine on Disney 100 Night? Do you think Barry Williams has more to give in the competition? Or has he overstayed his welcome? Leave your thoughts in the comments and share what you think.
