Nick Viall Calls BS On Tom Sandoval ‘Special Forces’ Fight
Bachelor Nation alum Nick Viall calls BS on Tom Sandoval fight on Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. What about the fight had Viall saying, “What the f**k”? Keep reading for all the details.
Nick Viall Father-To-Be
Nick Viall is one of many (and we mean many!) individuals over the years who have joined ABC’s dating show franchise only to end up single at the end.
Viewers first met Viall as a contestant on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette, making it all the way to the final two. He tried his luck again on Season 11, where he was once again struck out on finding love when Kaitlyn Bristowe chose Shawn Booth instead.
Ever the romantic, Nick Viall tried (and failed) for a third time on Season 3 of Bachelor In Paradise. Surely, he found love once ABC named him the lead of The Bachelor for Season 21.
Almost. He proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi, but they split less than six months later.
He finally found love outside Bachelor Nation with Natalie Joy, a model and surgical technologist 18 years his junior. The two started dating in 2020, and Viall proposed three years later.
But the wedding may be postponed a bit, as the couple announced in August 2023 that they were expecting their first child.
Tom Sandoval Seeks Punishment on Special Forces
Tom Sandoval, on the other hand, is having probably the worst year of his life. In March 2023, news broke that he was having an affair with Vanderpump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss, even though he was in a committed, nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix, another VPR cast member.
Thus, “Scandoval” was born, which unleashed unprecedented attention on reality TV and its stars, with the story featuring on heavy-hitting news organizations such as the New York Times and CNN.
Tom Sandoval was easily the most hated man in America at the height of the scandal. During the promo for Season 2 of Special Forces, the former SUR bartender said he wants to “take a beating” on the military-training reality show.
And that he did just that during his fight with Nick Viall on the episode airing Oct. 16.
Nick Viall Calls Tom Sandoval Fight BS
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test puts a group of celebrities through brutal challenges from real military training exercises. Former Bachelorette Hannah Brown and star soccer player Carli Lloyd won the first season by completing all of the training.
Season 2 has a cast of 14 celebrities, including Sandoval, Viall, actress Tara Reid, and Kardashian cast-off Blac Chyna.
The latest episode saw Viall and Sandoval go head-to-head in a combat battle that saw them both throwing punches.
Sandoval was ultimately named the winner, which the Bachelor Nation star strongly disagrees with. On this week’s episode of his Viall Files podcast, Nick Viall said he was “kind of annoyed” by the end result (via Us Weekly.)
“I had never been in a fight before, I was like, ‘This is going to be interesting,'” Viall said about his thoughts going into the fistfight. He also discussed Sandoval’s athletic high school days.
“Apparently, he was a high school wrestler, which made a lot of sense because he kept trying to pick me up,” the Bachelor Nation alum said.
Viall also claimed that the fight was stopped at one point so Sandoval could get up after taking several punches. As the one who threw more punches, Viall thought he was the winner.
However, Sandoval was named the winner. Viall explained, “When we got done fighting … Billy’s like, ‘If you’re surprised about the outcome,’ … He’s like, ‘This is all about getting back up.’”
Nick Viall expressed frustration with losing the fight, calling it “some bullsh**t.”
