Jenelle Evans & Hubby Could Face Assault & Neglect Charges

On the heels of Jenelle Evans’ eldest son running away for the third time, she and her hubby could be in big trouble. It appears that she and David Eason could face assault and neglect charges after Jace, 14, ran away last month. So, what is leading to these potential charges? Read on for more details.

Jenelle Evans & Hubby Could Face Assault & Neglect Charges

The first time that Jace ran away, there were two stories to that. One was that he had a fight with a teacher. However, his mother, Jenelle Evans claimed he had his phone taken away so he was mad about that. For the third time, Evans alleged it was due to an issue with a girlfriend. Jace, 14, had a very different story as he shared that he had been assaulted by his stepfather, David Eason. Furthermore, Jace apparently said that if was sent home to live with the Teen Mom alums, he would take off again.

These threats were taken very seriously and it looks like he is currently staying with his grandmother, Barbara. He had lived with her until he was 13 as Jenelle Evans had given custody to her mother. She had visitation and by the beginning of this year, they amicably agreed to let Jace go back to Jenelle. Sadly, it has not worked out so well and it may get worse. According to TMZ, Jenelle and her hubby could be in very hot water over Jace running away and his allegation of assault.

Insiders close to law enforcement say this investigation is going to be over in no time as they just spoke with Jace this past week. Apparently, he did not want his mother to be present when everyone headed to court on Wednesday, October 11th. Supposedly, charges for neglect and assault are set to be filed against the couple. The only thing up in the air is if both or just one of them will be facing these charges which feel quite harsh.

Defending Themselves

Jenelle Evans and David Eason have been doing extreme damage control since this all came crashing down. David claims that he and Jace have a great relationship, posting photos of them together and having a great time. Additionally, Jenelle showcased how he has given up drinking on his own which is unclear if he did it for himself or to look good in this situation. Jenelle has also said her mother is a problem and has asked for protection from her. The Teen Mom alum has also been called out for not sending Jace to school while her youngest son, Kaiser was suspended.
