Sherri Shepherd Gives Health Update After Surgery

During the Season 2 Premiere of her talk show, Sherri Shepherd spilled a big secret she had been holding onto. Over her summer break, because she had some free time, the talk show personality had surgery. Not just any surgery, she had a breast reduction.

Now that some time has passed since she’s had the surgery and spilled the beans on her show, her fans are wondering how she’s doing. Fortunately, ET caught up with Sherri and got a health update on how she has been doing both physically and mentally after her surgery.

Talking to ET, Sherri opened up about what made her decide to get a breast reduction. Likewise, she shared how she was doing both mentally and physically with this change to her body.

The talk show host acknowledged that her busty bosom was something people recognized her for. She, however, was getting older. So, her chest was getting heavier and more difficult for her aging body to support. As such, she made the decision to get a reduction.

The talk show personality glowed as she spoke of how she was looking and feeling after her surgery. She explained that a lot of aches and pains had gone away. Moreover, she felt as though her body was more properly proportioned after the reduction. She found herself able to sit up and stand straighter.

During a recent outing, Sherri Shepherd admits she was able to go completely braless. It was an experience for her as she had never been able to do that before. She found herself spending a lot of time adjusting her dress because she had never been without a bra in public. By the end, however, she admits it was an amazing thing.

She Adds That They Look Great

Sherri Shepherd also wanted it to be known that she absolutely loved her chest. She joked that they still looked beautiful despite being significantly smaller. The talk show host took a moment to shout out her plastic surgeon for their amazing work on her chest.

Finally, Sherri Shepherd joked about how awkward it was when men noticed or tried to talk about her breast reduction. She said it was a very different experience than being interviewed by another woman. Sherri clarified that women really have no issues with looking directly at her chest while discussing the reduction. Men, however, uncomfortably look anywhere and everywhere else during the conversation.
