My 600-lb Life alum Gideon Yeakley is one of the most inspiring patients of Dr. Now. He appeared in Season 4 at over 650 pounds and had difficulties doing any tasks. It even came to a point where his wife, Kayleigh, threatened to leave him if he didn’t take his condition seriously. With his life and marriage on the line, the Oklahoma native finally decided to turn his life around. He listened to Dr. Now’s orders and has made significant changes since. My 600-lb Life: Gideon Yeakley’s Stunning Weight Loss
Gideon had a slow start with Dr. Now. He took the surgeon’s advice but felt he wasn’t shedding pounds. However, the former My 600-lb Life star didn’t give up and eventually lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. He eventually lost 220 pounds in the show, bringing him down to 429 lbs.
The TLC alum has kept the fans in touch on social media as well. Earlier in August, Gideon showed off his beard. But what’s more noticeable was his slim face. He also surprised fans after uploading a stunning body shot in September 2022, where he revealed that he lost over 320 pounds.
Gideon Faced Big Setback After Dropping Pounds
Gideon weight loss journey didn’t end the way he expected it to. He suffered from the surgery, which led to his sudden gain. He even revealed feeling more lethargic, which delayed his physical goals. The My 600-lb Life alum was once again threatened by his wife at the time, fueling his desire to work even harder.
Gideon Yeakley was also hospitalized in 2019 and discovered that his stool had blood. The ailment was never disclosed. Though he was later released and continued to maintain a good weight. But it seems his marriage wasn’t able to recover.
My 600-lb Life: Gideon Yeakley Got Divorced After Welcoming Daughter
Gideon’s marriage to Kayleigh remained rocky even after shedding enough pounds. The two ended up in a divorce shortly after welcoming a daughter in 2017. The two made it clear that they tried their best to save their marriage. Sadly, it didn’t work out for them.
Some of Gideon Yeakley’s social media photos also show that he’s been with his kids. Meanwhile, Kayleigh deleted her social media accounts. The former My 600-lb Life star has yet to share his current job. But his FB bio states that he once worked as a Fleet Maintenance Tech at Veo. It also appears that he’s focused more on his kids and has no interest in entering a relationship anytime soon.
