Shannon Beador Being Investigated For Animal Cruelty
RHOC star Shannon Beador is now being investigated for animal cruelty. She had her hit-and-run over the weekend which culminated in a DUI arrest. Yet, her dog, Archie was also involved so driving with him while she was intoxicated may not bode well for her at all. What exactly is going on? Keep reading for more details.
Shannon Beador Being Investigated For Animal Cruelty
Archie has been a featured member of RHOC for a few seasons now as he is the beloved dog of Shannon Beador. Unfortunately, she is currently under a lot of stress after she was arrested for a DUI. Furthermore, she did a hit-and-run first but was lucky that nobody got hurt in that situation. After this transpired, she seemingly wanted to cover up what she did so she acted like she was taking her dog, Archie for a walk. However, Shannon really could not hide what had happened. Now, she is under investigation when it comes to the endangerment of her pup.
According to Us Weekly, this situation has now escalated to animal control. Speaking to Page Six, the Newport Police Department said this: “We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children but we do have animal cruelty laws, so he’s going to look into that a little bit further.” This means that the lead animal control unit officer is looking closely into what has occurred. Does this mean that Archie could be taken away? That is unclear but this is an interesting situation for Shannon given what she said at one point about co-star, Gina Kirschenheiter.
Shannon Beador had gotten Gina a great lawyer when she had her DUI a few seasons back. At a recent party on RHOC, Gina was absent so Shannon decided to tell this story with Jennifer Pedranti. Beador claimed that had she not gotten Gina the lawyer, CPS would have shown up the next day. She suggested that she saved Gina’s kids from being taken away. When Jennifer told Gina this, she was livid as it was a false statement. Now, the tables have turned.
What Will Happen To Shannon?
The situation regarding Archie is up in the air. However, Shannon Beador likely won’t face any jail time per Neama Rahmani, a lawyer who isn’t working with her. “If you’re dealing with a first-time DUI and you enter into a plea, usually you’re not going to get any jail time. What will happen is you’re going to have to do some classes, some Alcoholics Anonymous, maybe, some Mothers Against Drunk Driving classes. You may even have to have an interlock ignition device installed on your car, which means you have to blow into it for your car to start.”
What do you think should happen to Shannon for having Archie in her car? Should he be taken away? Let us know and watch RHOC Wednesdays on Bravo.
