‘Love After Lockup’ Fans Spot Asonta’s Lies
Love After Lockup fans are quickly catching onto Asonta Gholston’s lies. He has clearly been playing Raneka since Love During Lockup but she wants to believe the best. After all, she has spent money on him and moved all the way to Georgia so she could spend her life with her inmate love. Yet, this may have been a big mistake. Read on for more details.
Love After Lockup Fans Spot Asonta’s Lies
When the new season of Love After Lockup began, it was hard for viewers to judge Asonta. He had just passed away Labor Day weekend so they did not want to say anything too harsh about him. By the same token, he was not being the best boyfriend to Raneka. When she was trying to bail him out, he claimed that his auntie was helping. When Raneka contacted “auntie,” it turned out that was Asonta’s girlfriend, or so she said. She ignored this and went on to take him home though he said he needed to pick up his phone from “auntie.”
Additionally, the Love After Lockup producers asked who “auntie” was and he claimed it was a family member. However, at the end of the season premiere, he was seen sneaking out of Raneka’s home and leaving with someone else. Now, fans are claiming that they can tell when Asonta is lying. A Reddit thread was started to address this. The OP said this: “Asonta had major tell that he was lying. Every time he lied, he looked away , to the side, or had shifty eyes- so basically, most of the time he was talking- especially in the talking heads.”
They said it was especially prevalent when discussing his future with Raneka. Other Redditors noticed this, as well, even saying that he was not into her before he got released. Another added this telltale sign: “he also licked his lips when he lied. That is what else i noticed.” Many others saw these signs but felt Raneka simply did not care as she had low self-esteem. The fact that she overlooked the auntie/girlfriend situation was enough for them.
What’s Next?
Raneka had revealed back in July that she and Asonta had split and that she was single. Furthermore, when the Love After Lockup star died, he was expecting a baby with another woman. Hopefully, she saw the signs and fans will finally get to meet “auntie.” More so, it would be great to see Raneka’s reaction when she learns that she snuck out of the house to be with someone else. All after they were intimate for the first time.
