‘GMA’ Michael Strahan Warms Hearts With ‘Life-Changing’ Moment
GMA (Good Morning America) host Michael Strahan is warming hearts in a special “life-changing” moment, documented on the morning talk show. Michael Strahan shares a heartwarming, life-changing moment.
On Tuesday’s episode of the talk show, viewers witnessed an incredible moment. During the last few minutes of the episode, Michael introduced a man named Vincent Pierce. Before this, Vincent had no idea he was going to be live on GMA surrounded by his family. Sadly, Vincent was robbed at gunpoint as a teenager and was shot in the neck. After this terrifying incident, he was paralyzed and now has to be in a wheelchair.
After his injury, Vincent started an organization of his own called OPEN DOOR, which he uses to tell his story. Afterward, he decided to use his interests and skills as a music producer to start reaching kids in a new way. So, he also runs a program called ZING! He’s motivated by the opportunity to “show kids from neighborhoods like the one I grew up in that they are bigger than what their environments expect them to be.”
During this scene, Michael presented Vincent with a $1,000,000 check for his organization. Originally, the GMA host said that the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, which funds spinal cord injury research, was donating $10,000. But the check was actually missing a couple of zeros.
