Kelly Ripa Announces Career Path Details Away From ‘Live’
It is important to realize that Kelly Ripa is embracing her big ambition for her future. Recently, she told fans about her consideration of retirement. Surprisingly, Kelly Ripa has many options she considered to make a living and certainly one delightful “ideal job.” After she announced not planning to stay at Live With Kelly And Mark forever, two gigs were promoted.
Life After Live?
Unquestionably, Kelly Ripa has been on the Live With Kelly show since 2001. Admittedly, Kelly told Purist magazine that she doesn’t plan on being on the program forever. Furthermore, this came up after the soap opera alum was asked about being an empty-nester. In this case, her three kids, Michael, 26; Lola, 22; and Joaquin, 20 left the house. So Kelly shared how she and her husband Mark Consuelos will often talk about their retirement plans.
She revealed, “I don’t intend to work at this job for the rest of my life.” Even though she has expressed a lot of interest in retirement, right now she says she is, “very happy, especially working with Mark.”
She even talked about some other talents and jobs she has considered instead of acting or TV hosting on her podcast. Some very fun ideas came out of the discussion and even a picture of her “dream job” arose. However, in the meantime, she has already started to diversify her roles.
What Are Kelly Ripa’s Other Gigs?
Surprisingly, Kelly Ripa continues to branch out away from Live With Kelly And Mark. First, she released her popular memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, originally in September 2022. Now she has more book-related news. To emphasize, a post on Instagram says there are two days then fans can get their hands on a new edition of her popular book. To clarify, while the book has been out for a year, it was only available in hardcover and e-book. During it’s newest release, the title can be found in paperback, as well. According to Kelly Ripa’s Instagram Story, the new version is up for grabs on Tuesday. On the same day, she also introduced a second job she is pursuing.

Kelly Ripa’s Other Hosting Job
Also promoted on the same day, Kelly Ripa let fans in on another one of her projects outside of the Live talk show. To illustrate the job, she shared a trailer for the next episode of her game show, Generation Gap.
During the Season 2 promo video, it shows Thursday will be the show’s Season 2 finale. The clip is available on the game show’s official Instagram page. Generation Gap teases that it’s a show where no one acts their age. The caption read, “Time flies when you’re having fun! “The legendary #GenerationGap season finale is coming to a screen near you this Thursday on ABC!” Unfortunately, the show receives backlash for seeming to stage answers due to some of the kids’ extreme responses.
