How Does Britney Spears Feel About Jamie Lynn’s ‘DWTS’ Gig?
So how exactly does pop singer Britney Spears feel about her young sister Jamie Lynn Spears joining DWTS?
The full Season 32 cast recently made their debut on Good Morning America. Jamie Lynn revealed that she and pro dancer Alan Bersten will team up to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy this year and couldn’t be more excited.
Most Dancing With The Stars contestants generally receive support and love from their family members during the competition. But will the Spears sisters put aside their feud?
See how Britney Spears allegedly feels about the situation, according to insiders.
Don’t expect to see Britney Spears in the audience
Over the past few years, fans came to realize that Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears aren’t exactly close. Many followers hoped to see Britney share support for her younger sister for DWTS, but that hasn’t exactly been the case.
According to insiders, the pop icon thinks the timing is horrible.
Sam Asghari and Britney Spears split just after a year of marriage. Insiders hinted that Britney feels betrayed by her younger sister right now.
“Britney isn’t thrilled about Jamie Lynn doing Dancing With The Stars,” an insider allegedly shared with ET. “[Britney] feels like it’s bad timing, especially with the current situation she’s dealing with in her split with Sam. She feels continuously disappointed by her family, and it definitely stings. She doesn’t plan to watch Jamie Lynn on the show, and their relationship is strained.”
“Sam is doing his best to take care of himself, both physically and emotionally, getting back out there and playing the field a bit,” the insider continued.
Several DWTS fans hoped that Britney would make an appearance in the audience this year. But it seems like that definitely won’t happen now. Jamie Lynn’s husband and daughters will likely show up, but Britney reportedly won’t be anywhere near the ballroom if she can help it.
Will Jamie Lynn Spears make it to the finale?
This isn’t the first time Jamie Lynn Spears has competed on a reality show. Recently, she took part in Special Forces Season 1. She didn’t make it very far in the show. But even so, it’s clear she has the drive and spirit for competition. Will she be able to handle Dancing With The Stars?
Her partner Alan Bersten has a reputation for being a stickler behind the scenes. Season 29 champion Kaitlyn Bristowe warned Charity Lawson that Alan can be “kind of a d—k.”
But even without Britney’s support, it seems like Jamie Lynn is prepared for anything. Do you think she and Alan have a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy? Share what you think in the comments.
Catch the Dancing With The Stars Season 32 premiere at 8 PM Eastern time on Tuesday, September 26. Tune in and see how far Jamie Lynn Spears and Alan Bersten will go this season!
