Chad’s weight became a major obstacle in his life. He wasn’t able to work the way he wanted, which is why he decided to turn his life around and went to Dr. Now. He lost 50 lbs at the start of his journey, which qualified him for bariatric surgery. The former My 600-lb Life star was dedicated to losing weight during his recovery from his major operation. He even worked with a trainer and dropped over 400 pounds. In June 2019, Chad uploaded photos with his family during their pool day showing off his slim body. He also uploaded stunning photos with his wife in the same month.
Chad Released A Memoir
Chad also made efforts to inspire people regarding his weight loss story. The My 600-lb Life alum paired up with Celeste Parter and wrote a memoir titled “I’m In Here Somewhere: Memoir of a Food Addict.” It covers his story about being a food addict and how he overcame his life-threatening habit.
Chad Dean hasn’t been active on social media for years. But some of his posts from 2019 show that he and his family have been active outdoors, especially with his significant other. They’re still living in Texas after relocating from Maryland in order to stay closer to Dr. Now. The former reality TV personality’s FB also states that he’s back to being a truck driver.

Aside from his weight loss programs, Chad also found interest in motorcycles. Most of his Facebook posts are photos of him riding his big bike. He fell in love with modifying it and even customized his own helmet. He has also maintained a good weight, years after his My 600-lb Life appearance.
Chad Dean is one of the most successful patients of Dr. Now. He even revealed in his return episode that he had never felt better just a year after his surgery. Many are also proud of what he has achieved for the sake of his family.
