Savannah Chrisley Fights For The Release Of Todd And Julie
Fans of Chrisley Knows Best expressed their shock when the prison sentences for fraud and tax-related offenses turned out to be long. Right now, they have only served about six and a half months. Initially, Julie was expected to serve even years in federal prison. Meanwhile, Todd was handed a 12-year sentence. From time to time, Savannah Chrisey keeps her social media followers updated about her mom and dad’s appeal. Not everyone appreciates that she dedicates her time to trying to get them out of lockup. Those who believe the couple broke the law hate that she fights all the time and won’t accept that they committed a crime they should pay for. Additionally, they don’t appreciate that she is the self-declared “poster child” of prison reform.

Savannah Chrisley Gives An Appeal Update Again
This week, ET‘s Cassie DiLaura spoke with Chase’s sister and they discussed a range of subjects. You can watch the interview further down in this article. For example, her participation in Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, was done to set her adopted sister Chloe an example of surviving hard times. Speaking about reduced sentences, the former USA Network star attributed it to a law passed by “Trump” that enables people who attend courses to get out sooner. Additionally, early next year, a second part of the bill might help them cut more time.
Regarding the appeal process, she told the outlet that it’s all just about done and dusted. There’s nothing left to do but “wait.” Additionally, she mentioned a reluctance from the “government” to hear “oral arguments.” So, they wait for the Appeals Court to “rule on [that.]” Alex Little already explained that an appeal for a retrial is mainly based on two points. One of them relates to an “unconstitutional search.” Meanwhile, another relates to a statement in court by an IRS officer that seemed to be incorrect. That related to how much tax the reality TV stars had or hadn’t paid and might have influenced the jury.

Savannah Chrisley gets coverage from mainstream media, but if you want more updates about the appeal and the rest of the family, you can listen to her Unlocked podcast. It drops on Tuesdays and is usually up on YouTube soon after airing.
