‘My 600-lb Life’: Big Update For S6 Brothers Benji & David Bolton
My 600-lb Life Season 6 featured the story of brothers David and Benji Bolton. The two were suffering from their weight when they met Dr. Now. They couldn’t handle daily tasks and struggled to stand up for a few minutes. Benji was 582 pounds, while his brother scaled 747 lbs. Their food addiction began when they were still young. My 600-lb Life: Benji Bolton Followed His Bother’s Journey
Benji had a slow start on his weight loss journey. He only dropped 14 pounds at the same time frame when his brother shed 141 lbs, which also qualified him for bariatric surgery. However, he took it as inspiration and was later approved as well. The My 600-lb Life alum was able to shed 258 pounds. He has also kept in touch with his followers on Facebook and revealed that he has dropped 382 lbs overall.
Unfortunately, Benji deleted most of his social media accounts. But reports claimed that he has been living happily with his wife Amanda and their daughter.
David’s Incredible Weight Loss
David’s weight loss journey is more impressive than his brother’s. According to his last weight loss update, he has dropped 452 pounds. He also looks unrecognizable in his recent social media photos. In May, the Texas native shared a stunning photo with his girlfriend at the beach.
Additionally, the former My 600-lb Life star revealed in 2020 that he and his girlfriend, Carrie, got engaged. The two have yet to tie the knot, years after their engagement. But David Bolton has been uploading sweet photos from their outdoor activities.
My 600-lb Life: David Bolton No Longer Seeing Brother?
TLC also released a special update episode for the siblings. However, David revealed in his interview that he and Benji are no longer seeing each other. He added that the main reason for their estrangement was his decision to sue the producers of My 600-lb Life.
David Bolton claimed that the changes in life he had to make made him depressed and the show never helped him get through his mental struggles. The former TLC star also accused the production team of lying after saying that all the medical bills would be covered by them, which he claimed never to have happened. Not much is known about the progress of his complaints. But some fans were saddened to see the brothers walk away from each other.
