‘The Voice’ Fans Upset Over Big Detail In Season 24 Promo
A new promo was released for The Voice Season 24. While it was a video that showed that this upcoming season would be fun, there was one thing about it that fans didn’t like. Many fans ended up upset at an omission of something that no one should have expected anyway.
Here is what has The Voice fans upset about the new promo for Season 24.
The Voice Season 24 promo has fans upset
The Voice Season 24 premieres on September 25, and NBC released a new promo image for the new judges. This includes returning judges John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and the defending champion Niall Horan, as well as newcomer Reba McEntire. It seems that replacing the popular Blake Shelton with a legend like Reba would be enough.

However, for long-time The Voice fans, it wasn’t enough. In the Instagram post of the promo, all fans seemed to want to talk about in the comments was the omission of Blake from the promo. Of course, this makes no sense. Blake announced last year he was leaving the reality TV show, and last season was his farewell tour. There was no reason for Blake to be in the promo since he is no longer part of the show.
The promo read, “Reba, Niall, Gwen, and John are taking the reins 9/25 on @nbc and streaming on @peacock.” and had a photo of the four coaches. So, when looking at the comments, everyone was talking about how they missed seeing Blake in the promo. Others blasted Blake for leaving the show to “spend time with his family,” only for Gwen Stefani to rejoin the show as a coach. Others said they would still watch it but were upset that Blake was gone.
What is Blake Shelton doing instead of The Voice?
Blake Shelton was the last remaining judge from the original lineup. The original lineup was Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green. Neither Green nor Aguilera made it to season 4, although they did both return for later seasons. Levine made it to Season 16 before leaving the show, and Blake made it through 23 seasons. That was 12 straight years on The Voice for Blake Shelton, and he was ready to leave.

However, Blake isn’t finished with reality TV. His reality series Barmageddon with Carson Daly and Nikki Bella is coming back for a Season 2. That is a show where celebrities come on and play bar games, and it offers a lot of fun with fewer stakes than something like The Voice. Also, with Gwen Stefani in Season 24, there is always a chance Blake pokes his head in to say hi sometime this season.
