‘The View’ Joy Behar Gets Cocky Over Her Firing

The View co-host Joy Behar decided to get a little cocky over her past firing. Though she seems to be sitting pretty right now, there was a time when that was not the case for the comedian. So, what exactly did the fiery redhead do to assert herself and show off? Read on for more details.

Joy Behar seems to be a staple of The View. She has been on since the inception of the show, originally helmed by the late Barbara Walters. However, fans may recall that there was a two-year stint when Behar was persona non grata on the series. The show had a revolving door of hosts. Luckily, they seemed to have found a good groove for now. Of course, when The View returned for Season 27, Joy decided to chat about being fired and she had a little cockiness in her tone. According to The Sun, she was getting ready to talk about changes on The View.

This was during the Tuesday, September 6th premiere. Whoopi Goldberg was absent due to Covid so it was just Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. There had been some work done for Season 27 but Joy had to acknowledge that the same crew was back. Then, she took it upon herself to remind the world that there was a time she was kicked to the curb.”We’ve [the show] been here for 27 years. I was here for all of it. Except for two when they canned me.”

She then proceeded to get up and smack her rear as she noted that they “sacked” her behind. Sunny wanted to know what it was like to host the show each season. Was there something different? Joy claimed it was like Groundhog’s Day with each passing season. She did get to sit in the moderator chair for the premiere with Whoopi out. So, to talk about her firing while in said chair must’ve been an interesting situation. Luckily, fans are really enjoying what they are seeing so far.

Fans React To The New View

Everything is shinier and more crisp with Season 27 of The View. Joy Behar may say it is like Groundhog’s Day but fans are loving the new feel of the series. “Really happy that the show was back even if Whoopi was absent!!..hope she feels better btw!!. Great to see everyone else back! 😎🙌” one wrote. Another added: “Welcome back ladies! Let’s get it started!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” Looks like they had a great start to the season and they just need to keep the train going.
