Jenelle Evans Goes To Great Lengths For Protection From Mom
Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans has gone to great lengths to get protection from her mother, Barbara. The two have long had a tumultuous relationship. Yet, they seemed to have made up and everything was working for the better. Now, Jenelle is doing whatever she has to in order to get her mother away from her. Read on for more details.

Earlier this year, Jenelle Evans gained full custody of her teenage son, Jace. Her mother, Barbara had been raising him since he was a baby. Finally, the time came for Jenelle to get him back. Along with Jace, she has a son, Kaiser from another relationship and her daughter Ensley from her marriage to David Eason. Barbara was back in her life even though they had always been up and down but it seemed like it was time for things to settle. Then, a short time ago, Jace ran away and Barbara spoke out which infuriated Jenelle. She felt that her mother knew nothing and needed to keep her mouth shut.
Barbara claimed that Jace ran away due to being taken off of his medication by Jenelle as well as no longer seeing a therapist. Of course, Jenelle Evans disputed this claim and then he ran away again. Now, Jenelle has had enough of Barbara and is actively seeking protection from her. According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jenelle filed for a protective order from Barbara on Friday, September 1st. Babs then got the order on Tuesday, September 5th.
Jenelle Evans did want a domestic violence protective order against Barbara but was unable to obtain this. Therefore, she went for the next best option. Her reasoning for why she filed was that what her mother said to TMZ in August caused her family “emotional distress.” Now, Jenelle needs to ensure that she can show that her mother actually did what she claims. How she will do this is unknown but it should be interesting nonetheless. They will go to court apparently next week.
Hold Water?
This is really tricky as Barbara was Jace’s primary caregiver for thirteen years. Plus, Jenelle Evans and her husband fight on a public forum and throw jabs on a regular basis. So, it will be a lot of back and forth. Can Jace have a say? Maybe. Only time will tell how this will play out but hopefully, it will only be what is best for the children.
